How is everyone holding up? You ok? ...No? Same! The baseline hum of "what are we even supposed to do?" is entirely too real right now.

We shouldn't have to raise funds to get our neighbors back, but here we are.

All I can do is hang onto the positive slivers of art and music that give me faith in humanity right now. What are you holding onto?

Laura Stevenson - Late Great

The world needed a new Laura Stevenson record. Voted "Most Likely To Make You Cry" by me, this record is nothing if not consistent with my expectations in that regard! She has shows coming up in the US, UK and Europe. I'm excited to go see her at Scribble in Los Angeles in November! Yay Laura!

Josh Gondelman - Positive Reinforcement

If you ever need some positive reinforcement, and we all do right now, Josh is your guy. His new comedy special is now on YouTube, and it's heartwarmingly hilarious.

Martha Rich

Earlier this year I saw some pieces by Martha Rich at Hey There Projects in Joshua Tree. There's something I find soothing about wood cut-outs and the way she works with color and text. I'd love a wall covered with her objects. Especially with work like this, that you can just scatter along a wall, I love the experience it creates in the space. The vibration of it.
